Chairman McAllister introduced the Ponce to what would become its favorite venue. The Lodge hosted 16 golfers and a love affair was born. This was the first year that an Opening Ceremony was also held.Sea Island Resort – Ranked #1 in Golf Digest’s 75 Best Golf Resorts in America. The Wounded Warrior Project

This was the first year the PDL incorporated an annual charity to the tournament. Wes Battle added this element and introduced the Wounded Warrior Project to the Ponce.
